Nationals Offense Dominates Once Again as They’ve Won Eight of Their Last Eleven Games by Noah Kravitz

| The Washington Nationals are playing great baseball right now. |
Things finally seem to be clicking for Nats manager Davey Martinez’s ball club. After embarking on a gruesome 7-game losing streak, the Nationals look like they’ve been able to get things going in the areas they had recently struggled in.
If you are confused and would like to view the big picture, it all started in Baltimore. Down by a score of 3-2, the Nats were able to put together some late offense with a monster home run from James Wood, and an electric go-ahead single from Nasim Nunez to beat out Felix Bautista in a race to first base. While that may not seem like a traditional
“Get back on track” method, we’ve seen in the past how this team has been able to grind out wins in the scrappiest of ways possible.
That was all the Nationals needed as since then, they’ve won 8 of their last 11 played baseball games.
Even more impressive that 5 of those victories came against above average teams like the Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants, & Seattle Mariners.
In terms of the offense, scoring 19 runs in 3 games against the Mariners was fitting. 18 of those runs were scored in two games with young stars like James Wood and Robert Hassell III going deep in those games. Hassell III, being recently brought up from the minors, had a two-hit game in his major league debut but then cooled down after that. In the Seattle series is when Hassell had his first three-hit game and registered his first career home run.
As of now the Nats are 26-30 on the season. A respectful record as they are on track to play the Arizona Diamondbacks in a three-game series this weekend.
