The Towson Tigers women's basketball team secured a 59-52 victory over the Stony Brook Seawolves on February 16, 2025, at Secu Arena in Towson, Maryland. The Tigers established an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead 17-9. Despite a closely contested game, Towson maintained their advantage throughout, outscoring Stony Brook in three of the four quarters. This win brings Towson's overall record to 8-16 and their conference record to 6-7 in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), while Stony Brook falls to 11-13 overall and 6-7 in the CAA.
This victory follows Towson's resilient 63-51 comeback win over Hofstra on February 14, 2025, where the Tigers overcame a nine-point halftime deficit by outscoring the Pride 39-18 in the second half.
Towson had 3 players with double digit points including Deja Bristol with 16, Anasia Staton with 15 and India Johnston with 12.
Towson went 6-13 (46.2%) from 3. Johnston and Staton both had 2 while Leye and Diakite had 1.
The Tigers will look to build on this momentum as they face Northeastern on February 21, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts.
